Have you ever thought about how your environment shapes who you are?

I feel alone here.

-I have family.-

Well, I have family too, but they seem so distant. It’s hard to get involved in their lives. I want to, but a lot of times I feel like I’m staring through glass. It’s hard to cross the threshold into being a part of something again. I need to be strong for them. I need to be smart. I feel if I make those connections it will dampen my judgment and I’ll forget the greater good. I---

-My mother bit me.-

That’s funny. Someone bit me once too. I miss her. You would have liked her. She loved your kind.

-You talk a lot.-

Probably.

-I like nuts.-

That is something we don’t have in common, little one. I think I’m going to head home.

-Bring nuts next time.-
